Mammoth

Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing made a presence this past weekend at the Mammoth Beer Festival and Bluespalooza. The Sierras may never be the same!

Mammoth Update - Tom, Tim, Chad and Nick headed off to the Festival on Friday morning with trucks full of beer and merchandise. The first night there was a BBQ and live music to get all of the brewers warmed up for the big day EVENT - Bluespalooza. Partying with a bunch of brewers sounds like a good time... maybe too good. How did they expect all of those brewers to get up and pour beer the next day? :)

(Whose beer are they drinking? Better question, do they remember?)

(Is this really work?)

Tim, our Events Guru - rocked the Brew Festival and BluesPalooza! Awesome job Tim!

(I guess they give the 'rookies' the choice spot by the toilets!)

Thanks to Tom, there is evidence (photographic) that they actually made it to the event!

(Can you tell it was Tom's Birthday?)

All in all - the reports from the Festival were great. People enjoyed the beer and the guys got a lot of good response. Plus, as you can probably tell from the pictures - they had fun and celebrated Tom's birthday in Grand Style!

Back at the brewery - Lisa held down the fort with the help of Mark and Pepe! Pepe even pulled the Saturday shift for his first time, by himself! What a man, Pepe! When I pulled up at the end of the day, there were at least 30 women hugging the bar and spilling out into the parking lot. Plus, it was Pepe's birthday. Sunday, Leifin joined me at the tasting bar for his first time - entertaining tasters by adlibbing to my crazy stories. For a couple of shy folks, we made it through the day. Dan made it back from the Guiness Brewery in Dublin, Ireland - where they brew 1 million pints of Guiness everyday! He says the whole town smells like boiling wort. Imagine that.

This weekend is Art Under the Oaks in Scotts Valley - If you are local, come and check it out! We have 4 HOT BROADS working the booth for us. You don't want to miss it.

Growler sales are going strong - and the Stout, with all of its viscosity and depth, is moving right along. Cheers!

Some more beer fest pictures below - thanks to Tom!
