The SCMB crew piled in the rental and buckled down for the long drive to Mammoth. Over the hill and through Yosemite we went and arrived at out plush condo Emily secured for us. On Sunday, June 4th - Capitola had its first ever Motorcycle Classic held at the Cruz Car Wash on 41st Avenue. The IPA has been racked and kegged, this time with better filter results. We didn't lose any beer and we didn't have to change the filter pads at any time during the process. We threw a hopback filter filled with hops in the line and that likely did the trick. The beer will take a few days to settle out, intensify and carbonate. We had our public hearing yesterday and after a few nervous moments we were approved for our tasting room! Hooray!Tim, Nick and Chad brewed their second batch - our organic IPA on Monday and it smells great. Finally starting to smell like a brewery! The Pale stopped bubbling today so it is ready to keg. Yesterday morning we got our federal approval and our federal brewing license so yesterday we brewed! The grain has been crushed, soaked and sparged.
